Hello,
I’m Charlie Orellana, a creative director, filmmaker and photographer from Guatemala.
My work explores the relationship between people, places and nature, creating visual stories that connect culture, identity and the natural world. I collaborate with brands, organizations and artists who value thoughtful storytelling, cultural depth and a meaningful connection to the environments that inspire their work.
The essence of my work is influenced by my homeland origins, Guatemala’s nature, texture, culture, indigenous traditions and landscapes, especially the presence of volcanoes. They have taught me to observe with patience, create with intention, and approach filmmaking as a practice of preserving stories, places and traditions that matter.
Across documentaries, music films and commissioned campaigns, I create films and photography stories that honor cultural heritage, artistic expression and our relationship with the earth.

Over the years, I’ve also worked on retreats, personal brands, destination campaigns, promotional brand films, cinematic shorts, travel films, and ceremonies. Today, I’m open to collaborating on a select number of projects that align with my creative vision.
